GDEV's revenue for January-March 2025 amounted to $97 million, with a profit of $14 million
The gaming company GDEV reported its results for the first financial quarter of this year, ending on March 31. Here are the key figures from the report.
- The company's revenue for the three months was $97 million (9% less than the same period in 2024).
- GDEV's intake was $81 million (a decrease of 25% year on year).
- The monthly paying user base also significantly decreased by 26%.
The decrease in revenue, intake, and the size of the paying user base can be attributed to changes in the company's UA strategy. GDEV reduced its marketing expenses by 33%, bringing them down to $42 million.
Apparently, another outcome of this move was an increase in both profit and EBITDA.
- Profit reached $14 million (last year, by the end of the first quarter, the company had a loss of $5 million).
- Adjusted EBITDA was $16 million (also negative in the previous year).
As for other indicators:
- 41% of the company's intake now comes from the PC platform;
- the size of the commission paid to stores decreased by 13% to $3 million (thanks to an increased share of IAP sales on PC);
- the cost of operating games reached $14 million (it was $13 million a year ago);
- the average intake per paying player reached $90 (an annual increase of 2%).
