"An achievement that was reached faster than we could have ever dreamed," declared the Sandfall Interactive team.

The turn-based JRPG by the French team hit digital shelves on April 24th. The game received a warm reception from both the press and players:

  • its Metacritic score is 92 (currently one of the highest-rated games of the year);
  • its rating on Steam is overwhelmingly positive (94% of players stated they enjoyed the project).

In addition, the game showed high online presence for a new IP by a young team. Today, it reached 70,000 concurrent players on Steam. This happened despite the recent release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered (part of the gaming community was worried that Microsoft undercut the French team by releasing a remaster of the iconic classic right before the launch of "Expedition").

Please note that the development studio shared sales figures, not the game's audience: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is also available on the Game Pass subscription service.
