Capcom raised its annual forecast amid the success of Monster Hunter Wilds
It seems that Monster Hunter Wilds is selling even better than Capcom anticipated. The Japanese company published a statement for investors announcing a revision of its forecast for the recently concluded fiscal year.
Although Capcom's fiscal year ended on March 31, 2025, the company has not yet finalized its results. It will release a report next month. Regardless, Capcom is already expecting to see record figures.
According to new estimates, Capcom's annual net sales are expected to reach 169.6 billion yen ($1.2 billion) instead of the previously forecast 165 billion yen ($1.16 billion). The forecast for operating profit has been raised from 64 billion yen ($449 million) to 65.7 billion yen ($461 million).
As the company explained, one of the main reasons for increasing the forecast was the success of Monster Hunter Wilds. It is worth noting that the game was sold over 10 million times worldwide within the first month.
Capcom also noted that games from its back catalog continue to enjoy steady popularity. Other business segments of the company not directly related to video games, such as pachinko machines, are also performing well.
