Revenue increased by 169%, with nearly 600,000 copies of Frostpunk 2 sold — and other highlights from the annual report of 11 bit studios

In 2024, 11 bit studios achieved the highest revenue in its history, according to the latest financial report from the Polish company. The record is largely attributed to Frostpunk 2.

Key Figures of the Year

  • According to 11 bit studios, its annual revenue amounted to 140.54 million PLN ($37.26 million), which is a 168.9% increase compared to 2023.
  • Net profit skyrocketed by an impressive 1212.6% to 6.9 million PLN ($1.83 million). According to 11 bit studios, this figure could have been higher if the company had not decided to shut down a game codenamed Project 8 at the end of the year, resulting in a write-off of 48.42 million PLN ($12.84 million). There were other write-offs during the year as well.
  • Games developed by external teams accounted for 26% of the revenue of 11 bit studios. This share decreased by 16‰ compared to 2023, mainly due to the successful release of Frostpunk 2 in September 2024.
  • The main market for 11 bit studios last year was the USA, where the company earned 82.1% of its revenue. The United Kingdom took second place with 9.8%, followed by Hong Kong with 2.12%.

Game Data

  • By December 31, 2024, Frostpunk 2 had sold 592,000 copies worldwide (not including copies acquired by Game Pass users) and generated 69.73 million PLN ($18.48 million).
  • The first part of Frostpunk generated 28.7 million PLN ($7.6 million) in revenue for 2024. Compared to 2023, its income rose by 22.7%.
  • The Thaumaturge, released in March 2024, generated a revenue of 9.26 million PLN ($2.45 million) by the end of the year.
  • This War of Mine earned 7 million PLN ($1.86 million), which is 12.5% less than the previous year.
  • INDIKA, which debuted in May 2024, brought in an additional 5.98 million PLN ($1.58 million) for 11 bit studios.
