Capcom did not disclose how the sold copies were distributed among the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series versions of Monster Hunter Wilds. However, it is known that the game attracted over 1.38 million concurrent users on Steam at its peak, placing it fifth among the titles with the highest concurrent player numbers in the platform's history.
Capcom has high hopes for Monster Hunter Wilds. Previously, they informed investors that they are aiming for record-breaking revenue and profit for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, with the help of the game. According to analyst Simon Carless from GameDiscoverCo, this could indeed happen. As of March 2, Monster Hunter Wilds had already earned over $150 million on Steam — considering other platforms, its revenue should be even greater.
The total sales of the Monster Hunter series as of December 31, 2024, amounted to 108 million copies.
