Tekken 8 sales have exceeded 3 million copies
Bandai Namco Entertainment has shared fresh figures regarding the sales of Tekken 8. The company announced that just over a year after its release, the fighting game has sold 3 million copies.

According to the company, Tekken 8 is surpassing its predecessor Tekken 7 in terms of sales speed, which also hit the 3 million copies mark soon after its first anniversary. To date, Tekken 7 has sold 12 million copies.
Here's how long it took Tekken 8 competitors to reach the 3 million copies milestone:
- Mortal Kombat 1 — two months (with 5 million copies sold as of January 2025);
- Street Fighter 6 — seven months (with 4.4 million copies sold as of December 31, 2024).
Tekken 8 was released on January 26, 2024. It is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
