Epic recently published its 2024 Year in Review for the Epic Games Store, revealing an increase in PC users to 295 million, which marks a growth of 25 million from the previous year.

The platform saw a 15% rise in consumer expenditure, reaching $1.09 billion. However, third-party game sales experienced an 18% dip, totaling $255 million.

After introducing the Epic Games Store for Android and iOS in the European Union, cross-platform accounts expanded by 94 million, reaching 898 million in 2024.

Average daily users climbed 6% to 31.5 million, and monthly active users also increased by 6% to 67.2 million last year.

In 2024, the store launched 1,100 titles, a decrease from the 1,300 games released in 2023.

Top games by spending and player engagement included Fortnite, Genshin Impact, and EA Sports FC 24, alongside Honkai: Star Rail, Destiny 2: The Final Shape, and Alan Wake 2.

This year, Epic provided 89 free games with a total value of $2,229, with an uptake from 595 million users, up from 586 million in 2023.

Epic also announced the extension of its 'Now on Epic' initiative until January 31, 2026, which allows developers to port their games to the platform and retain 100% of net revenue for the initial six months, similar to the Epic First Run program.

Looking forward, Epic plans to focus on developing its mobile store, aiming to enhance the app library and discovery features to support its expanding game collection.
