Sid Meier’s Civilization VII

  • Nearly all revenue came from digital sales of games — 96% or $1.31 billion.
  • Mobile remained the leading platform for Take-Two, accounting for 54% of revenue. Console games contributed 37%, while PC and other platforms made up 9%.

  • The company was unable to avoid losses. Take-Two lost $125.2 million for the quarter, which is a 36.6% increase from the previous year.
  • Overall, the company is satisfied with the quarter's results. Although the mobile unit, led by Zynga, earned less than expected (primarily due to a downturn in the hyper-casual games segment), the overall operational metrics surpassed the forecast.
  • The company also mentioned that in the NBA 2K series, gamers' recurrent spending (on microtransactions, in-game advertising, DLCs, etc.) increased by 30%, while the number of daily active users rose by 20%.
  • GTA+ subscriptions grew by 10% compared to the previous year.
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization VII set a franchise record for pre-orders. The exact number was not disclosed by Take-Two.
  • Take-Two anticipates that 2025 will be one of the most remarkable years in the company's history. In just four days, the full release of Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is scheduled, Mafia: The Old Country is set for a summer release, GTA VI will launch in the fall, and Borderlands 4 is expected by the end of the year.
