VG Insights: the gross revenue of MiSide surpassed the 25 million dollar mark in one month

The Russian anime horror MiSide has generated significant revenue for its creators. Based on data from the analytical service VG Insights, it reports earnings of over $25 million since its release on Steam on December 11, 2024.

VG Insights estimates the title's sales at 2.2 million copies, with a median playtime of 5.1 hours per user.

The service Gamalytic provides different, considerably lower figures. According to its average calculations, MiSide grossed $15.6 million and sold 1.2 million copies in its debut month. It is noted that 43.3% of MiSide's audience are players from Russia, 31% from China, and 5.2% from the USA.

Official sales data for the game is unknown. Neither the studio AIHASTO, which developed MiSide, nor the publishers IndieArk and Shochiku have publicly disclosed any details.

To recap, at its peak, MiSide attracted 23.7 thousand concurrent players on Steam. Currently, its online presence has decreased and for the past week, it has been maintained at around 10 thousand users. The game holds an "overwhelmingly positive" rating on Steam (98%) based on 65.8 thousand reviews.
