Sales of Balatro reached 3.5 million copies
The developer LocalThunk and publisher Playstack announced that the card game Balatro has reached a new milestone, selling 3.5 million copies worldwide.

It is unclear if this figure includes sales of the game on mobile devices or if it's solely from PC and console sales. Additionally, Balatro is available for free to Apple Arcade subscribers, which should expand its audience even further.
The mobile version of Balatro was released on September 26, 2024, six months after the game's release on major platforms on February 20, 2024. According to estimates from the analytics service AppMagic, just this version has brought LocalThunk and Playstack over $4.2 million in net revenue to date.
Previous sales milestones of Balatro on consoles and PC:
- 250,000 copies — three days after release;
- 500,000 copies — ten days after release;
- 1 million copies — one month after release;
- 2 million copies — five and a half months after release.
