Scopely becomes top casual games publisher of 2024 with over $1.6 billion in revenue, outshining Playrix, King, and more

Casual games remain one of the largest segments in the mobile market. Here are the top publishers by in-app revenue generated in 2024.

According to data shared by AppMagic, the top 10 casual publishers by net IAP revenue (reduced by platform fees and inclusive taxes) from January to November 2024 are*:

  1. Scopely (US) — $1.63 billion (Monopoly Go!, Marvel Strike Force, Star Trek Fleet Command);
  2. Playrix (Ireland) — $1.53 billion (Gardenscapes, Homescapes, Fishdom);
  3. King (Sweden) — $1.28 billion (Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, Farm Heroes Saga);
  4. Dream Games (Turkey) — $1.25 billion (Royal Match);
  5. Moon Active (Israel) — $852.16 million (Coin Master, Travel Town, Zen Match);
  6. Peak Games (Turkey) — $512.4 million (Toon Blast, Toy Blast, Match Factory!);
  7. SciPlay (US) — $431.6 million (Jackpot Party Casino Slots, Quick Hit Slots, Gold Fish Slots);
  8. Product Madness (US) — $426.4 million (Slots: Heart of Vegas Casino, Cashman Casino Slots, Lightning Link Casino Slots);
  9. Zynga (UK) — $420.2 million (Empires & Puzzles: Dragon Dawn, Merge Dragons!, Zynga Poker);
  10. Playtika (Israel) — $383.7 million (Slotomania, House of Fun, WSOP Poker).

Three companies in the top 10 are based in the US, followed by Turkey and Israel (two each). Scopeley’s top spot is not surprising given the huge success of Monopoly Go. The game has already grossed over $3 billion globally, according to Hasbro.

The top 20 also include several Chinese publishers such as SpinX Games Limited ($383.7 million), Tencent ($223.7 million), and NetEase ($181.6 million). It is worth noting that this rating only takes into account revenue from casual games, and companies like Tencent and NetEase generate most money on midcore titles like Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile, and Knives Out.

When looking at top casual publishers of 2024 by downloads, China’s BabyBus leads with 760.8 million. It is followed by Outfi7 (621 million), Miniclip (249.9 million), Budge Studios (214 million), and ABI Game Studio (199.1 million).
