CD Projekt aims to reach nearly $1 billion in net profit for 2025-2028 as part of its incentive program

The CD Projekt board has outlined several draft resolutions for the upcoming meeting with shareholders. One of them is directly related to the company’s financial performance.

CD Projekt aims to reach nearly $1 billion in net profit for 2025-2028

According to a regulatory announcement on October 31, the management board proposed a new financial target for CD Projekt. This is part of the company’s internal incentive program.

For the next four financial years, from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2028, CD Projekt aims to reach PLN 4 billion ($994.9 million) in net profit. This is well above PLN 3 billion ($746.2 million) expected by market analysts.

The resolution will be considered at the extraordinary general meeting on November 28 and come into force right after.

As explained by Bankier.pl, CD Projekt has two incentive programs: Program A is for selected employees, and Program B is for members of the board, who can receive bonuses and stock awards based on the company’s performance.

These goals are set annually at extraordinary meetings. Previous targets were PLN 2 billion ($497.4 million) for FY23-26 and PLN 3 billion ($746.2 million) for FY24-27.

CD Projekt’s board currently includes co-CEOs Michał Nowakowski and Adam Badowski, as well as chief strategy officer Adam Kiciński, CFO Piotr Nielubowicz, and several other executives.

The management board called the new target “ambitious,” adding that achieving it will be dependent upon the implementation of internal projects and their commercial success. Reaching this goal will help the company increase its market value and stock price.

Despite last year’s success with Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and strong back catalog sales, CD Projekt’s future depends on the games currently in development. None of them has release windows, but the next Witcher game codenamed Project Polaris will enter full production by the end of 2024. As of July 31, its team included 410 developers.

In addition, 60 people are now working on Project Orion (next Cyberpunk game), which is not far from entering pre-production at the company’s Boston studio. Other projects in the pipeline are Sirius (Witcher spin-off from The Molasses Flood, in production), Canis Majoris (The Witcher 1 remake from Fool’s Theory, in the research phase), and Hadar (new IP).
