Sales of the Resident Evil 4 remake have exceeded 8 million copies
Capcom has announced that sales of the Resident Evil 4 remake continue to increase even a year and a half after its release. They have surpassed the 8 million copy mark.

Previous sales milestones for the game:
- 3 million copies — within two days (March 26, 2023);
- 4 million copies — within two weeks (April 7, 2023);
- 5 million copies — within four months (July 20, 2023);
- 7 million copies — in just under a year (March 13, 2024).
The original Resident Evil 4, released in 2005, sold over 13.3 million copies, including re-releases for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Total sales for the entire Resident Evil series as of June 30, 2024, are 160 million copies.
