Tencent Report: Profit Increased by 82%, Dungeon & Fighter Mobile is the New "Evergreen" Hit

Dungeon & Fighter Mobile
- Tencent's quarterly revenue amounted to 161.1 billion yuan ($22.6 billion). This represents an 8% increase compared to the previous year.
- Gross profit increased by 21% to 85.9 billion yuan ($12.1 billion). Profit for Tencent's ordinary shareholders surged by 82%, reaching 47.6 billion yuan ($6.7 billion).
- Games accounted for 30% of Tencent's quarterly revenue — 48.5 billion yuan ($6.78 billion).
How Tencent's quarterly revenue was distributed across segments
- Game sales in China reached 34.6 billion yuan ($4.84 billion). Year-over-year, they grew by 9%. According to Tencent, the main growth drivers were Dungeon & Fighter Mobile and Valorant.
- International game sales also increased by 9%, totaling 13.9 billion yuan ($1.94 billion). This was achieved thanks to the rising popularity of Supercell games and strong performance from PUBG Mobile.
- Gross receipts for Brawl Stars increased more than tenfold year-over-year, with the average daily active users in the game reaching record levels.
- Tencent is pleased with the launch of Dungeon & Fighter Mobile in China and sees it as the next "evergreen" hit. Recall that the game was released in China on May 21, 2024. According to Niko Partners, it earned $500 million in its debut month in the country.
