In the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, Bandai Namco experienced a 56% increase in profits

Bandai Namco has unveiled its first quarter financial report, showcasing notable growth in sales and earnings.

For the period concluding on June 30, 2024, the company's net sales surged by 24.8% year-over-year to ¥280 billion ($1.9 billion), with profits climbing 56.3% to ¥34 billion ($233 million).

The digital entertainment sector saw a rise of 55.8% in revenue, reaching ¥106 billion ($725 million).

This increase is partly attributed to FromSoftware's Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, which managed to sell five million copies within three days of its June 21 release.

Previously, Bandai Namco informed GamesIndustry.biz that the DLC was anticipated to significantly boost Elden Ring's sales.

Additionally, the amusement division's revenue rose by 17% during this timeframe, totaling ¥33 million ($225,760).

Looking to the future, Bandai Namco’s annual outlook remains unchanged since May 20. Nonetheless, predictions for the six months ending September 30, 2024, have been updated.

Initial forecasts estimated net sales at ¥515 billion ($3.5 billion) and profits at ¥40 billion ($273 million). The new projection anticipates net sales of ¥555 billion ($3.7 billion) and profits of ¥60 billion ($410 million).
