NCSOFT Report: Net profit increased by 133%, with more than half of sales coming from mobile games
The creators of Lineage have published their financial report for the second quarter of 2024. Here are the details.
Lineage 2
- Quarterly sales for NCSOFT were 368.9 billion won ($270.3 million). This is 16% less than last year.
- Mobile games accounted for 59% of the sales. The main hit remained Lineage M, which generated 106.97 billion won ($78.4 million). Also in the top 3 were Lineage W (65.47 billion won or $48 million) and Lineage 2M (42.3 billion won or $31 million).
- Online PC games were responsible for another 23% of sales. Lineage made the most with 24.5 billion won ($18 million). Following it were Guild Wars 2 (23.48 billion won or $17.2 million) and Lineage 2 (21.2 billion won or $15.5 million).

- 65% of NCSOFT's sales were in South Korea.
- By the end of the quarter, NCSOFT's operating profit fell by 75% to 8.84 billion won ($6.48 million). At the same time, the company's net profit surged by 133%, reaching 71.1 billion won ($52.1 million).
