Zenless Zone Zero fell behind Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact in mobile revenue on its first day
On July 4th, the new game from the miHoYo studio, the action RPG Zenless Zone Zero, was released on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices. We looked into data from the analytical service AppMagic to see how the mobile version of the project performed at launch.
Zenless Zone Zero
- Since its release, Zenless Zone Zero has generated $3.99 million on mobile devices. This revenue comes from IAP after miHoYo paid mobile store commissions and taxes.
- For comparison: the mobile revenue for Genshin Impact on its debut day was $4.6 million, while for Honkai: Star Rail it was $8.3 million.
- The most lucrative markets for the new release were China ($2.3 million), Japan ($789,200), and the USA ($440,400).
- According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero amassed 5.89 million downloads. Before its release, the game already had over 47.5 million pre-registrations across all platforms.
- The most active downloads of Zenless Zone Zero were by residents of the USA (879,200 downloads), China (771,600 downloads), and Indonesia (392,700 downloads). Russia, with 249,700 downloads, ranked fifth among the top countries.
