Sales of The Planet Crafter have exceeded one million copies. Russia is among the top markets

In early April, the space survival game The Planet Crafter reached its full release after two years of early access on Steam. In a conversation with the GameDiscoverCo team, indie studio Miju Games revealed the game's metrics and compared the results before and after the full release.

The Planet Crafter

  • During early access (March 2022 — April 2024), Steam users purchased 730,000 copies of The Planet Crafter.
  • Sales dynamics in early access: on the first day, sales were 33,000 copies, by the end of the first week — 102,000 copies, and by the end of the first month — 240,000 copies.
  • After the release, sales increased. On the premiere day alone, the game sold 37,000 copies. By the end of the first release week, sales reached 135,000 copies, and by the end of the first release month — 260,000 copies.
  • As of mid-June, sales of The Planet Crafter reached 1.07 million copies.
  • Before the start of early access, The Planet Crafter had 241,000 wishlists, and before the release — 750,000 wishlists.
  • Post-release, the active audience significantly increased. During early access, the game's DAU was 10,000 people, and MAU was 55,000 people. Now, the figures have risen to 57,000 and 107,000 people, respectively.
  • The top 10 markets for sales of The Planet Crafter are the USA (29%), Germany (11%), China (7%), France (6%), UK (5%), Russia (4%), Canada (4%), Japan (4%), Turkey (3%), and Australia (3%).
