Forecast: In 2024, the total revenue of the gaming markets in Asia and MENA will exceed 87 billion dollars, and in 2028 it will reach 97 billion dollars
Analysts at Niko Partners have released a forecast for the gaming markets in Asia and the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). According to their estimates, in the coming years, the total revenue of these markets will increase at an average annual growth rate of 2.5%.
- Niko Partners predicts that in 2024, residents of Asia and MENA will spend $87.6 billion on games. That's $2.1 billion more than in 2023.
- The highest spending will be in China, accounting for 56.9% of the revenue.
- By 2028, the market revenue will grow to $97.1 billion.
- The number of gamers will also increase. If in 2023 there were 1.6 billion video game players in Asia and MENA, then in 2024 there will be 1.7 billion. By 2028, there will be 2 billion.
- In 2023, 93.7% of gamers from these countries played on mobile devices. Additionally, 35.1% played on PC, and 4.9% on consoles.
