Take-Two report: Losses continued to grow, GTA V sales exceeded 190 million copies
Take-Two Interactive reported for the second quarter of fiscal 2024, which ended on September 30, 2023. It was unprofitable: the company's net losses immediately increased by 111%.
▫️Net losses amounted to $543.6 million. Last year, in the same period, the company reported losses of $257 million.
Net revenue also fell, but not so much — by 7% to $1.3 billion.
Mobile games brought in the most money — $646.2 million. Console games generated $546.7 million, PC games another $106.3 million.
GTA V sales exceeded 190 million copies (+5 million for the quarter), sales of Red Dead Redemption 2 - 57 million copies (+2 million for the quarter). Released on September 8, NBA 2K24 sold over 4.5 million copies.
▫️Take-Two has revised its forecast for the entire fiscal year. She now expects her net losses to be $910-957 million instead of $501-545 million. Revenue is projected at $5.37-$5.47 billion.
