Nintendo's semi-annual report: profit of $1.86 billion, sales of the new The Legend of Zelda over 19 million copies

Nintendo has published a financial report for April-September 2023. She reported an increase in both revenue and profit.

According to the report, Nintendo's net sales amounted to 796.2 billion ($5.3 billion), an increase of 21.2% year-on-year.

▫️78.3% of Nintendo's revenue came from outside Japan. Most of all in the Americas — 43.7%, followed by Europe — 22.8%.

▫️The company's operating profit rose by 27%, reaching ¥279.9 billion ($1.86 billion).

In six months, the company sold 6.84 million Nintendo Switch consoles. During the entire existence of the Nintendo Switch, sales amounted to 132.46 million consoles.

In six months, 16 games for the Nintendo Switch, including four projects from third-party developers, have sold over 1 million copies.

The most successful Nintendo games between April and September 2023 were The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (19.5 million copies), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (3.22 million copies), Pikmin 4 (2.61 million copies) and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (1.35 million copies).
