Capcom's semi-annual report: revenues continue to grow, sales of Street Fighter 6 approached 2.5 million copies
Capcom has published a financial report for April-September 2023. We share the main thing from it.
Capcom's net sales amounted to 74.9 billion ($498 million), an increase of 52.7% compared to the same period in 2022.
▫️Operating profit increased by 54.4% to ¥33.8 billion ($224.9 million).
The company has sold 22.6 million copies of games in six months. For comparison, last year sales amounted to 21.3 million copies. The lion's share of copies sold came from games from the back catalog - 17.6 million.
In the report, Capcom talked about the sales of some specific titles. The company announced that by September 30, the remake of Resident Evil 4 had sold 5.45 million copies, Street Fighter 6 — 2.47 million copies, and the MegaMan Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 — a total of 1.42 million copies.
Capcom also reported that the audience of the Exoprimal multiplayer shooter exceeded one million people.
