Monster Hunter Now downloads have reached the 10 million mark, and estimated revenue is $40 million.
Niantic and Capcom shared the success of the mobile AR game Monster Hunter Now. The company reported that the title was downloaded 10 million times in just over a month.
"We are very pleased that so many people have enjoyed Monster Hunter Now in the first month since its global release," said Ryozo Tsujimoto, producer of the Monster Hunter series at Capcom.
According to the AppMagic analytical service, since September 14, Monster Hunter Now has earned $40 million from IAP (the amount is indicated after taxes and shares of stores). The main markets for it were Japan ($29.4 million), Hong Kong ($3.2 million) and the United States ($2.7 million).
Monster Hunter Now is Niantic's second highest—grossing game. According to AppMagic, only Pokémon GO earned more with IAP — $5.14 billion.
