Revenue of the Black African video game market reached $863 million in 2022
According to a joint report by analysts Newzoo and Carry1st, last year the sales volume of video games in Black Africa (the part of the African continent located south of the Sahara desert) reached $863 million. This is 8.7% more than the year before.
Of this amount, mobile games accounted for more than 90% of revenue — $778.6 million. PC gaming products earned $49.4 million, and another $34.8 million games for consoles.
Analysts believe that the region will reach a billion-dollar sales volume in 2024.
