In 2022, the revenue of the Slovak gaming industry exceeded €77 million
The Slovak Game Developers Association (SGDA) has released a report on the Slovak gaming industry. According to her, in 2022, local gaming companies earned a total of €77.1 million.
At the end of last year, there were 66 gaming companies in Slovakia. They employed 1,080 people.
The top five earning companies included: Pixel Federation, SuperScale, Inlogic Software, PowerPlay Studio and Nine Rocks Games.
48.5% of Slovak companies have employees from other countries. The majority of foreigners come from the Czech Republic — 39.7%. There are also a lot of workers from Ukraine (13.8%), the UK (12.1%), Russia (6.9%), the USA (3.5%), Serbia (3.5%) and Vietnam (3.5%).
▪️PC is the most popular development platform in the country. It is chosen by 72.7% of companies. 31.8% of studios make games for mobile, 10.6% — for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles, 9.1% — for Xbox consoles and VR/AR headsets.
