Paradox Interactive's quarterly profit for the year fell by a quarter

Paradox Interactive has published a report for the first quarter of 2023. The company’s revenue grew, but operating profit fell by 25% at once.

In the first three months of 2023, Paradox earned $46.7 million – 1% more in annual terms.

▪️The company’s operating profit amounted to $15 million.

80.7% of Paradox’s revenue came from PCs, 11.7% from consoles, 3.7% from mobile devices, and 3.6% from other platforms.

In the first quarter, the most successful games were Cities: Skylines, Crusader Kings III, Hearts of Iron IV, Stellaris and Victoria 3. Their sales are not disclosed.

▪️The monthly active audience of Paradox games has exceeded 5 million people.

Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox, said that 2023 will be “a year of enthusiasm and expectations.” Now his company is working on 13 new games, some of which will be released before the end of December.
