In Europe, January PS5 sales more than tripled compared to last year
It seems that Sony has solved the problem with the shortage of its consoles in the European market. According to journalist Christopher Dring, in January 2023, PS5 sales in Europe immediately increased by 202% year-on-year.
As a result, the PS5 became the best-selling console in January in Europe. The second place was taken by Nintendo Switch, whose sales fell by 12%. The third place went to the Xbox Series — sales decreased by 32%.
