Record receipts and success of Modern Warfare II — the main thing from the quarterly report of Activision Blizzard
Activision Blizzard summed up the results of the fourth quarter of 2022, reporting several records at once. For example, net bookings have grown to a record level. They amounted to $3.57 billion — 43% more compared to the previous year.
Activision Blizzard’s quarterly revenue was $2.3 billion (+7.9%), and net profit was $403 million (-28.5%).
As for the company’s divisions, Activision‘s revenue grew to $1.85 billion (+60%), Blizzard‘s revenue to $747 million (+93%), and King‘s revenue to $727 million (+6.2%).
Activision Blizzard also said that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II had the highest sales among the franchise games for the debut quarter, and Overwatch 2 set a record in the series in terms of quarterly audience size and the number of hours played during the quarter.
