Electronic Arts quarterly report: profit increased by 209%, receipts fell by 9%
Electronic Arts (EA) has published a report for the third quarter of fiscal 2023 (October-December 2022). We have selected the main figures from it.
▪️Quarterly revenue increased by 5% to $1.8 billion.
Game services accounted for 66.9% of this amount ($1.25 billion).
▪️The company’s net profit reached $204 million (+209%).
▪️Receipts (net bookings) in games — $2.3 billion (-9.1%).
▪️The audience of EA games by the end of the third quarter amounted to 650 million people (50 million more than a quarter ago).
▪️The audience of The Sims series alone grew by 10 million people in the quarter. Its DAU, WAU and MAU increased by “double digits” in annual terms.
For the entire fiscal year, EA expects to receive $7.2-7.3 billion in revenue and $7-7.1 billion in revenue.
