NetEase gaming division earned $2.7 billion in the first quarter — 66.9% of revenue came from mobile games

The Chinese giant NetEase summed up the financial results of the first quarter of 2022. During the reporting period, its gaming revenue increased by 15.3%, not least due to the successes of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, Ghost World Chronicle and Naraka: Bladepoin (however, the company did not share figures for these titles).

Although mobile still generates the lion’s share of revenue from games, its share has decreased — from 73% to 66.9%.

The entire NetEase earned $3.7 billion in the quarter (+14.8% for the year). Its gross profit amounted to $2 billion (+16.1% for the year).
