Azur Games has launched a program to relocate game studios for a percentage of profits
The original initiative was taken by the developer and publisher of mobile games Azur Games. He launched a relocation program for independent gaming teams. For his services, the publisher is going to take “a stipulated percentage of the studio project’s profit.”
The publisher, as far as can be understood from the published press release, is ready not only to move employees within the framework of the program, but also to take on a number of organizational issues, including opening an account and maintaining office space.
However, as a representative of the company told us, the terms of cooperation are as individual as possible. Simply put, the program is quite flexible. It all depends on the tasks facing the studio (Azur Games offers to request details directly by mail).
Cooperation does not imply the purchase of assets by the publisher. Azur Games informs that the participants of the program will remain independent. Both the established processes and intellectual property rights will remain with the teams.
Despite the profile of Azur Games, the offer is relevant not only for mobile developers. The publisher invites to cooperation, including studios that create games for consoles and desktops.
Azur Games has been extremely active lately in business terms. In April, the company announced that it had become a publisher of blockchain games, and last fall it announced the launch of hyper-casual games publishing in China and the creation of its own metaverse. And this is not to mention a number of investments in small mobile teams.
