PUBG Mobile's revenue exceeded $5 billion — more than half of the game earned in China

PUBG Mobile continues to set new records. For the entire period of operation, the revenue of the Tencent project amounted to $ 5.1 billion. At the same time, most of this amount fell on the Chinese version of the game.According to analysts from Sensor Tower, PUBG Mobile’s revenue amounted to $2.7 billion last year alone.

This allowed it to become the highest-grossing mobile game in the world according to the results of 2020.

The Chinese version of the game, Game For Peace, which is available in China only on iOS, brought developers $ 2.8 billion. In other countries, the total revenue of the project amounted to $2.3 billion. Worldwide, the App Store accounts for 81.6% of revenue, while Google Play accounts for only 18.4% (if China is not taken into account, the revenue ratio will be 58.6% to 41.4%, respectively).


PUBG Mobile revenue by quarterSensor Tower also reports that in 2020 PUBG Mobile earned an average of $7.4 million per day.

The average quarterly revenue was $704 million, and for the first quarter of 2021 (ending March 31), the game has already generated $709 million. Thus, the popularity of PUBG Mobile remains at a very high level.
