SuperData: in May, digital game sales totaled $8.7 billion
The gaming market does not show stable growth. This conclusion can be drawn from the latest SuperData report. Digital sales of games in May, which amounted to $8.7 billion, were 4% less than in the same month a year earlier.
The reason for this is a 6% drop in sales in the mobile games market, analysts say.
Another factor is the decline in Fortnite performance on consoles and PCs. Despite the release of the ninth season and revenue of $ 203 million, sales of the game in May 2019 were 38% less than sales in May 2018.
