Revenue from Pokémon GO is growing even three years after the release
The best days of the title are still ahead — analysts of Sensor Tower are sure.
Pokémon GO was released in 2016, but still brings its creators, Niantic, a lot of money. Sensor Tower has published the January figures of this geolocation game.
- The monthly revenue of the title was $68.1 million. This is 84% more than in January 2018.
- Most of the revenue — 35% — came from Japanese players. This is about $23.8 million. Another 29% of the revenue ($19.7 million) was brought by players from the USA. Over the year, both indicators increased by 1%.
- In January, Pokémon GO was ranked 8th in terms of profitability among mobile apps.
- Total user spending on the game since its release has exceeded $2.3 billion.
We add that in January the game was downloaded from Google Play 3 million times, and from the App Store — 1 million times.
