CSR2 mobile racing provided Zynga with the best revenue in 4 years
California-based mobile publisher Zynga has reported the biggest financial success since 2013 — thanks to the CSR2 racing title and other games, the company’s quarterly revenues increased by 15% to $209 million, and net profit amounted to $ 5.1 million.
At the end of the quarter, the company turned a profit. Zynga ended 2016 with a loss of $108 million.
On the back of positive financial results, the market value of Zynga increased by 5.3%.
According to Zynga CEO Frank Gibeau, compared to the same period last year, the number of users of the company’s products increased by 28%, and revenues from in—app purchases increased by 33%.
90% of the company’s audience is made up of mobile device users, on average, 19 million people worldwide visit Zynga games per day.
Gibo also said that the company is interested in VR and AR projects, but did not announce plans to work in this direction.
