EA's annual sales totaled $4.8 billion
The Electronic Arts company reported revenues of $4.8 billion at the end of the 2017 fiscal year.
“We achieved record sales last fiscal year thanks to the continued transition to digital distribution and the growing success of our online services,” explained EA CFO Blake Jorgensen.
Electronic Arts network sales accounted for 61% of all company sales and reached $3 billion, which is 20% higher than in the same period last year.
The report also provides data on the audience of EA network titles.
The audience of Battlefield 1 by the end of the year was 19 million people. This is 50% more compared to the active users base of Battlefield 4 for the same period.
The audience of FIFA 17 has exceeded 21 million people to date. More than 12 million players participate in the new story mode “The Journey”.
In the 4th quarter of fiscal 2017, the average playing time of each player in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes set a new record of 162 minutes per day.
MAU in Sims 4 increased by 33% compared to the same period last year.
Against the background of financial success, the value of Electronic Arts shares on the Nasdaq stock exchange exceeded $ 100 for the first time.
