The March turnover of the digital games market reached $8 billion
According to the analytical firm SuperData, in March of this year, global sales of digital copies of games amounted to $ 8 billion.
This is 7% more than in March 2016. The mobile segment of the gaming market has grown by 13% over the same time compared to last year.
SuperData also named the highest-grossing games of last month on PC, consoles and mobile platforms.
SuperData noted that last month, sales of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive exceeded sales of Overwatch on the PC platform for the first time.
The research firm also reported that Hearthstone’s mobile revenue doubled in March compared to February. This happened thanks to pre-orders for the Journey to Un’Goro expansion, which was released in early April.
