Madfinger has published the Shadowgun DeadZone source code in the Unity Asset Store
Czech studio Madfinger Games has released Game Master’s Kit, a special edition of the Shadowgun DeadZone multiplayer shooter, allowing users to modify the project at their discretion.
Fans of the original title are tempted by the novelty with the possibility of creating new maps, objects, weapons, characters and similar things. However, the published set of tools will be more interesting to those who are engaged in the development of shooters: the publication contains not only access to assets stripped down as assets, but also to many Shadowgun DeadZone sources devoid of notes.
In Game Master’s Kit, which can be downloaded from the Unity Asset Store, developers can get acquainted with how, in general, the online project was built, with the client and server parts of the game, the mechanics of the two available modes (deathmatch and domination), as well as two maps from the original game.
Shadowgun DeadZone, whose authors are better known today for the Dead Trigger dilogy, was released on mobile platforms and Facebook in the winter of 2011. The average press score for the iOS version of the game on Metacritic is 72 out of 100, on Google Play – 4.4 out of 5.
