The first billing plugin from Xsolla has appeared in the Unity Asset Store
Xsolla has introduced a universal billing solution for Unity-based games, offering developers a ready-made game store for online projects.
With the help of the Xsolla Unity SDK, the developer will be able to integrate into his game “a full-fledged store with a full set of administrative, marketing, billing and analytical capabilities.”
In other words, the integration of such a service is well suited for those teams who do not have time or specialists (or want to reduce costs) to create a payment infrastructure for the game.
According to the official press release, the solution immediately offers “a fully localized interface, adapted prices in various currencies and more than 700 payment methods.”
At the moment, the plugin supports Windows Phone, Windows PC, Mac, Web, WebGL, Oculus, Gear VR and Samsung TV. Unfortunately, iOS game developers will still have to saw the store on their own: the solution from Xsolla is “third-party billing”, which the App Store does not support.
The plugin itself is free, but Xsolla takes a commission from each IAP. The latter depends on the selected “package of services“. The universal solution (platform, 700 payment methods, support and analytics) will take 5% of sales (recall, the commission in the App Store is 30%).
