Visual Studio can be downloaded simultaneously with the Unity, Unreal Engine and Cocos2D engines
Microsoft will collaborate with Epic Games, Unity Technologies and Chukong Technologies. The integration of the Visual Studio development environment with the engines of these companies will be improved. The information appeared on the official Microsoft blog.
Developers will have the opportunity to simultaneously install the engine – Unity, Unreal Engine or Cocos2D – and download Visual Studio Community. To do this, you will need to select the appropriate option in the dialog box. All the necessary plugins will load together with the engine. After that, the user will be able to create games on these three engines – in the Microsoft development environment.
It is not yet known when the announced changes will take effect. Now work on this is still ongoing, according to Microsoft representatives.
Visual Studio Community is a free version of Microsoft’s Visual Studio development environment.
