Square Enix showed Final Fantasy on Unity 5
Square Enix has demonstrated a 13-second gameplay video of the role-playing game Mevius Final Fantasy for iOS and Android. It happened at the annual Game Developers Conference 2015.
There is little information about the game itself. So, it is still unclear whether there will be an open world in the RPG from Square Enix, how exactly the control will be carried out, how the character will be pumped.
The game is being developed on the Unity 5 engine, which was presented at the same GDC 2015.
The development of the project is led by Yoshinori Kitase, who was the producer of several FF games in the late 90s and early 2000s.
The script for the game was created by Kazushige Nojima, a veteran of the game dev, who took part in the development of most FF, starting with the seventh part.
It is known that the plot of the game will be related to the original Final Fantasy, but the details have not yet been disclosed.
The project will be released in Japan this spring. The date of the “western” release has not yet been called.
