Unity and NHN Entertainment announced the beginning of cooperation
Unity Korea and the Korean publisher of online games NHN announced the creation of a "global gaming business alliance," the resource reports techinasia.com .
It became known that NHN uses the Unity engine in more than 60% of its games. The same number (60%) of studios from the total number of developers of mobile 2D games use this engine throughout Korea. For Japan and China, these figures are even higher: 70% and 75%, respectively. For comparison, in the USA, Unity engine produces 50% of mobile games in 3D.
We also add that Unity recently introduced its Unity BI project in Korea. Its goal is to support small game studios in the country and, in the future, around the world.
Eric Hwang, manager of publishing Unity games in Korea, spoke about the specifics of the Korean market.
