The GameMaker resource store has opened: Studio

The multi-platform GameMaker: Studio engine from YoYo Games has an analogue of the Asset Store for Unity.

The resource store will allow some developers to sell animations, sounds, backgrounds, objects, scripts, shaders, sprites and more to others. GameMaker: Marketplace is already available to all GameMaker: Studio license holders.

"The YoYo Games team has been working tirelessly on the Marketplace for many months now, and the response from our users to the early version exceeded all our expectations. We are very pleased to provide another source of revenue to developers," said Marketing Director Michael Cassius.

By the way, GameMaker: Studio has recently become increasingly popular among independent developers. There are no mobile hits for him yet, but there are enough resonant projects for Steam. It has been used to create games such as Gods will be watching, Hotline Miami and Home.

Hyper Light Drifter is also made on the basis of GameMaker

The first version of GameMaker: Studio dates back to 1999. Since then, it has been downloaded more than 10 million times. The community of game developers using it has more than half a million registered users.
