The Reach3dx mobile engine from the creators of Gamebryo is entering the closed beta stage
There are not many game engines. Especially when it comes to a project created by the same team that was responsible for creating the game engine for Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Dark Age of Camelot, Civilization Revolution, Epic Mickey, Rift and a number of smaller projects.
The question is, will Reach3dx, developed by Gamebase, be able to offer modern developers, spoiled by Unity and Unreal, something special, something really tasty?
Reach3dx, based on the OpenFL and Haxe framework, will be “modular” so that developers can modify and expand it themselves. The engine has cross-platform support for iOS, Android, HTML5 and Flash.
Its beta testing will begin on August 18. Now you can sign up for it on the Gamebryo website.
After the official release, the date of which has not yet been set, it is assumed that the engine will be distributed for free.
