Infinity Blade 3 in development
After the closure of Impossible Studios, which worked on Infinity Blade: Dungeons, no specific information was received about the future of the series. However, interesting details have appeared recently.
In the portfolio of Michael Lochrane, one of the testers of Epic Games and ChAIR Entertainment, posted on LinkedIn, there was a line saying that he worked with Infinity Blade 3 for iPhone. There has been no official confirmation of the information about the development of the continuation of the sensational series from representatives of these companies yet. But last month, the creative director of the Chair studio, Donald Mustard, said that the studio plans to continue working on the project, so the information from the portfolio seems quite plausible.
The popularity of the original title was due to high-level graphics and simple, but at the same time innovative mechanics. In 4 days after the release in 2010, more than 270 thousand copies were sold. Infinity Blade was also the first game to use the mobile version of the Unreal Engine 3. Its sequel Infinity Blade 2 also featured nice excellent graphics, plot and sales.
Accordingly, the release of the third part is associated with the expectation of a transition to an even higher level of quality of mobile games. Perhaps we can finally say firmly that they have visually grown up to consoles.
