Unity reported its first profitable quarter since going public

Six years ago, Unity went public on the New York Stock Exchange through an IPO. Since then, it struggled to achieve quarterly profits until the situation turned around in July-September 2026.

In its latest financial report, Unity announced a net profit of $122 million for the third quarter of 2026. For comparison, in the same period last year, it registered a loss of $127 million.

Unity's revenue is also impressive — reaching $622 million, showing a 32% year-over-year growth.

Here is the breakdown of revenue by business segments:

  • Grow Solutions (monetization tools) — $457 million, +43.7%;
  • Create Solutions (engine) — $165 million, +8.5%.

Additionally, Unity highlighted the rapid growth of its AI-based advertising platform, Unity Vector. Its revenue jumped by 126% compared to last year, though the exact amount was not disclosed.

“We are witnessing the cumulative effect of the ‘flywheel’ strategy. The more developers our platform attracts, the more games are created. This, in turn, increases their need to expand audience reach through advertising," commented Matthew Bromberg, CEO of Unity, on the quarterly achievements.
