Unity sold the mobile publisher Supersonic for $40 million

Supersonic is no longer owned by Unity. Its new owner is Tripledot Studios.

Unity announced the deal in its latest quarterly report. It did not disclose all the details, mentioning only a few key points.

Firstly, the sale officially took place on August 4, 2026.

Secondly, Tripledot Studios agreed to pay $40 million "subject to possible adjustments after the closing of the deal." At the same time, Supersonic's assets were valued at $56 million, and its liabilities at $19.95 million.

Unity announced its intent to sell Supersonic back in March 2026, at the same time it revealed the closure of the ironSource Ads Network. Neither the potential buyer nor the publisher's price was revealed, and until now, it was unknown who would ultimately acquire it.

Tripledot Studios is the third owner for Supersonic. Initially, the publisher was launched under the wing of ironSource as one of its subsidiaries, but in 2022, it was acquired by Unity. Supersonic specializes in publishing casual and hyper-casual mobile games. For example, it released Going Balls, Build A Queen, Bridge Race, Screw Master 3D, Pick Me Up, and many other titles.
