The Xbox Vice President of Development left Microsoft less than three months after being appointed

In early May, the new head of XBOX, Asha Sharma, made some leadership changes in the gaming division and invited former colleagues from CoreAI to join the team. One of them was Jared Palmer. However, it turned out that he decided not to remain long in the position of Vice President of XBOX for Development.

Palmer announced on LinkedIn that he left for the AI company Cognition, where he assumed a similar role.

It's noteworthy that Sharma initially had high expectations for Palmer. He was supposed to be her technical advisor and work alongside the head of XBOX to tackle "the most complex product and engineering challenges."

Whether Palmer's departure was due to personal reasons, restructuring at XBOX, or something else remains unknown.

Palmer worked at Microsoft for a total of 10 months, having joined the corporation in October 2025.
