The technology company Unity has introduced a new set of AI tools accessible in open beta for developers using Unity 6 or later versions. The goal of these tools is to expedite the game creation process, enabling developers to craft higher-quality games more swiftly.

A prominent feature is the Agentic Assistant, which acts as a smart aid within gaming projects, facilitating developers' understanding of their work and maximizing the use of Unity's functionalities. Other features include 'Plan' mode that helps in planning implementation steps, as well as 'Skills', which offers specialized advice on UI design and scene configuration.

This toolset also allows seamless reversion of changes and can generate provisional resources such as materials, sounds, cubemaps, and both 2D and 3D assets. Through the AI gateway, developers are able to connect securely to their chosen AI resources within the Unity editor, or they can use external programming resources and large language models with the help of Unity's Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.

Subscribers to Unity Pro, Enterprise, and Industry plans get these features along with credits once they install the Assistant package. Meanwhile, those using the Unity Personal Edition can start a free trial of Unity AI, enjoying 1,000 credits over 14 days. Following the trial, a subscription option is available at $10 per month for 1,000 AI credits, with additional credit packages available for purchase.

In 2025, Unity introduced an AI-driven ad network called Vector, which has shown remarkable performance in the company's recent financial outcomes. Vector represented 56% of the grow solutions revenue, and Unity expects Vector to consistently achieve substantial quarterly growth, exceeding previous guidance predictions.

To concentrate on high-growth areas such as Vector, Unity disclosed plans to discontinue its IronSource advertising and user acquisition network and to sell off its mobile publishing arm, Supersonic.
