Unity's quarterly losses reached $127 million — and other details from the company's report
At the beginning of the month, Unity released its financial report for the third quarter of 2025, which spanned from July 1 to September 30. The document reported both revenue growth and increased losses.
- Over the three-month period, Unity earned $471 million. This is 5% more than the previous year and "significantly" above the company's expectations.
- Two-thirds of the revenue ($318 million) came from the Grow Solutions segment, which focuses on monetization tools. Compared to the third quarter of 2024, its revenue increased by 6%, primarily due to the excellent performance of the Unity Ad Network platform.
- Revenue from the Create Solutions segment, responsible for development tools, rose by 3% to $152 million.
- Unity ended the quarter with a net loss of $127 million. Last year, it also reported losses, but they were slightly lower at $125 million.
- During an investors' conference call, Unity CEO Matthew Bromberg announced that the Unity 6 engine is becoming increasingly popular. By the end of September, it had been downloaded 9.4 million times — a 42% increase from early summer.
